The company was founded in 1997 and in 2000, it was transformed into MELMAR Tourism S.A. with its headquarters in the Municipality of Samothraki, Evros Prefecture.

The company was included in October 2013 in the "Support for Small and Medium Enterprises in the fields of Processing, Tourism, Trade – Services" program, co-financed by the Regional Operational Program of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (ESPA 2007-2013) with a subsidy rate of 60%.

The company carried out the construction of tourism facilities under MELMAR TOURISM S.A., with the aim of establishing a complex of four (4) fully furnished rental houses, with a total capacity of 12 beds, in the Koytada-Dafnes area of the Municipality of Samothraki.
