Growing up with parents who were farmers, Angeliki Ganidou was introduced at a very young age to the challenging environment of the fields and the unique demands of her family’s various crops. Today, she has managed to multiply the land initially granted to her by her family, has turned to new and diverse types of cultivation that she strategically selects, and continues to invest in her land while closely monitoring developments in the agricultural sector.

As part of the creation of the 26th Business Story, we visited her and asked both her and her husband, Sakis, about the beginnings and evolution of their farming business, the utilization of funding tools, and all those elements that led to her receiving the award for “Women’s Entrepreneurship in Agricultural Production” at the “Farmer of the Year 2023” awards.

Growing up in a farming family usually presents two main paths: either one embraces the rural way of life and chooses to continue the tradition, or seeks a completely different route. Michalis Kyriakidis consciously chose to follow in his father's footsteps in livestock farming, turning a part of his family’s past into an opportunity and a long-term commitment to his future.

As part of the creation of the 26th Business Story, we visited his livestock unit and spoke with him about the past, present, and future of his business, his recognition as “Livestock Farmer of the Year” at the recent “Farmer of the Year 2023” awards, and his collaboration with ena Development Consultants.
